Heather Evans - Director

Dip. LCD (Distinction); RAD Teacher Certificate (Distinction); FATD Elementary (Honours with Distinction)

Heather Evans graduated from the LONDON COLLEGE OF DANCE in 1989 with a Diploma in dance teaching.  Since graduating Heather has enjoyed many successful years teaching both in the UK and Australia, choreographing performances and entering students for examinations in classical ballet, jazz and tap. Heather is a registered syllabus teacher with the Australasian Dance Association (ADA) and the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) gaining Distinction level passes in practical and theoretical and teaching examinations. 

Heather has a passion and very special talent for teaching the very young. Heather enjoys working with her students and preparing them for their own examinations, where there has always been a 100% pass rate. She holds a First Aid Certificate.

Sally Reid

Associate Diploma (Jazz and Tap); Reg. FATD Teacher

Sally first started dancing at the age of 6 and has been trained in jazz, tap and drama. During her time as a student Sally participated in Jazz and Tap Examinations with the FATD and has performed in concerts, eisteddfods, award days and community events around Sydney. She has also been involved with Hip Hop, Jazz and Funk classes at Sydney Dance Company under the tuition of Ramon Doringo.

Sally is a registered syllabus teacher with the Federal Association of Teachers of Dancing (FATD) gaining Honours level passes in practical, theoretical and anatomy teaching examinations with the FATD.  Sally has been awarded her Associate Diploma in Jazz and Tap and has completed all practical examinations through to Advanced.

Sally loves to choreograph and prepare students for exams and concert performances.  Sally holds a Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Science, Macquarie University and a First Aid Certificate.

Mala Sudbury

Mala began her RAD Ballet training and learnt Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Modern dance and Musical Theatre at local dance schools on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.   Mala performed in concerts and many Eistedffords whilst training and she studied HSC Dance as an elective and achieved great results.

After high school, Mala completed a full-time Diploma course at Dance World Studios in Melbourne, where she trained for a further 3 years in Dance, Acting and Singing, graduating in 2008.
Mala has danced professionally in various fields including 2 Song Cybershot television commercials, touring to New Zealand, Perth and Sydney for show cases and mid-year performances, Lara Croft Sudden Impact Experience and being a featured dancer at Chesty Tstzyu's media release.

Mala’s passion is choreography and as a result the students dance wonderful pieces at the end of year concert ranging in styles from hip-hop to contemporary.

Winnie

Winnie Enright

Winnie has trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Irish and completed all of ADA exams for Jazz and Tap. Winnie has been involved in various dance performances such as dancing at the 2009 NRL Grand Final, competing in various eisteddfods, state and national Irish competitions and the ADA Dance Awards Competition. A definite highlight has been travelling to America for a USA Dance Tours, dancing in Disneyland, Universal Studios and on Hollywood Blvd as well as attending workshops with Disneyland Performing Arts, Millennium Dance Complex and ALDCLA.

Teaching has been a passion for Winnie since she started assisting at our sister school CSOD in 2012 providing her with a new creative outlet and allowing her to pass on her love of dance to younger students. As a teacher, her aim is to provide a welcoming and encouraging dance atmosphere that inspires growing dancers to achieve their best. 

Winnie has completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in History and English Literature at Uni of Sydney and is commencing postgraduate studies in Media at Macquarie in 2018.

Charlotte Marks

Charlotte’s love of Teaching started at the young age of 16 where she began assisting with Beacon Hill tap and jazz classes. Since this time, she has developed an adoration for the Babyballet program and working with young children, as she finds a huge amount of joy in these young dancers and watching them grow.

Charlotte has been a long-time student with Heather Evans and has trained in RAD Ballet, Jazz/hip hop, Lyrical and Tap since the age of 5. She has completed many Jazz and Tap examinations with the ADA, most recently being her Gold Star Tap exam in 2019. Charlotte has also completed RAD Ballet exams from a young age. Additionally, Charlotte was a member of Sydney North Dance Festival selective groups in both primary school and high school, and therefore participated four years consecutively. She has also been a part of school musicals and Rock Estedfords.

Ashleigh Clark

Ashleigh's passion for dance started at the age of 3 when she began classical ballet classes at Beacon Hill Dance Academy in 2002. She has since trained in R.A.D classical ballet, jazz, hip hop and lyrical with the dance school for the past 17 years.

Ashleigh has completed R.A.D classical ballet examinations from Primary to Intermediate. She is currently training to complete her R.A.D Grade 8 exam.

Throughout Ashleigh's schooling she was selected for Sydney North Dance groups, Rock Eisteddfod teams, school musicals and studied dance as an elective. In 2017, Ashleigh had the opportunity to perform in Disneyland LA, Universal Studies and Hollywood Boulevard with our sister school CSOD. Ashleigh is currently studying a Bachelor of Social Science and Sociology at Macquarie University.
